Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar Portico 21 hotel is excellently located, in an area with lots of small restaurants and bars and close to the main turistic streets, including the sunday bazaar. The decoration is elegant and minimalistic and the service was excellent and friendly. |
The booking service was easy and offered options when we encountered a fully booked hotel. |

Portico 21 Hotel (Chiang Mai), near Night Bazaar Even though the hotel was not located along the main road, it was just 5mins walk from the Sunday Bazaar, which offers much better merchandise than the daily Night Bazaar. The reception area and the rooms were like as what you really seen in the website. The bedsheets and towels are NEW and smells so pleasant! Contemporary style with NO FRILLS, which means, no hairdryer and no coffee/tea beverage or no electric teapot. Which I believe if you do ask, they will bring it up. Staffs are very polite and very neat in their dressing. Breakfast is Continential with choices of Cereal, Toasts, All kinds of Eggs request, Fruits, sausages and hams and porridge. Overall I will recommend it to my fellow travellers. I have enjoyed my stay quite well. |
The booking service is fantastic with almost an instantenous response. Will book thru sawadee.com again. Great booking service! |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar The Portico 21 Hotel was great! Very clean, modern, and comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is located behind one of the main streets in Chiang Mai 10 minutes walk from the night market and 2 from the old city. There are lots of bars and great restaurants within walking distance of this hotel and it is also close to the airport...about 120 Baht taxi ride. I loved visiting the city and I am recommending this hotel to my friend that is visiting in March. Thanks!!! |
Very easy staight forward booking. No problems at all. |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar The Portico 21 Hotel is a new, modern, very attractively designed hotel. It is situated in a convenient area close to the centre of the city...the main tourist area, and there are all the restaurants and facilites you need in this area. The room was large, clean and decorated in a kind of subtle Japanese style. Furthermore the staff were very helpful. Definitely a bargain in my opinion. |
The booking service worked well. You will probably get the room cheaper this way, rather than ringing the hotels direct. |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar SUPER friendly and helpful staff, espescially the elderly woman in the reseption area. Really nice interior(desgn, colours, fabrics, art ) both in the common areas as well as in the room. My room was clean and absolutely bug/gekkofree, although some gekko-pooph had escaped the brooms. I extended my stay two more days here, mainly because of the staff. But: With the huge selection of accomodation available in Chiang Mai, this hotel was a bit overpriced, I think. |
I have used the Sawadee booking system several times. Service this time was fast and efficient- as always. |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar This hotel is a fairly new one and should certainly be rated 4* with the quality of service it provides. The owner has lovingly decorated the place and it is very chic, with beautiful rooms (well, mine was, anyway) and a lovely lobby. The best thing is the staff - they are exceedingly polite, professional and keen to please. The service they provide is similar to what I would expect at the Four Seasons! The rooms are all no-smoking which means they smell wonderfully fresh. They are absolutely spotlessly clean with tasteful, new decor. BUT there is no elevator - and that is a nuisance - and no swimming pool. However, a small hotel down the road will offer day use of their pool for 100 baht. The breakfast is only Continental style (personally I prefer a good bacon fry-up in the morning) but it is thoughtfully served by the wonderfully attentive staff. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. It is very convenient for the old city as well as the night market |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar Warm Staff always there to greet us whether in the morning or early morning when returning. Breakfast was minimal but enough to start the day off. Very good location for every type of activity. Walking distance to Night Bazzar for shopping, late night bars, restaurants and fun red light activites if that is your taste. Room was clean and quiet. No extra frills but for the price perfect! We would stay there again on our next visit. |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar We LOVED this hotel! It as fantastic, really great value and the people who ran it were so lovely. Right near the action and what an oasis. Chic decor and everything beautiful, in great working order and such a sanctuary from the hot dusty town that is Chiang Mai. Don t get me wrong we loved the town, but we loved coming back to this place even more! We had a bit of trouble with a few cab drivers so make sure you have the address with you when you get to the airport but it is so central and so good am sure they will all know where it is pretty soon! The room was fantastic, very roomy, modern and comfortable (on the top floor so you got a good workout too), with a lovely view of the town and mountains. Honestly we wouldn t stay anywhere else and this place was one of the finest accommodation experiences we had in Thailand AND one of the least expensive!!! Go there, take your friends and family and say hi from us!!! MIranda and Graham |
Bit of bad news here - the booking went well except for the airport pick up. The driver had no idea where the hotel was and we drove around for nearly an hour. This was the fault of the booking service as they gave the driver an incorrect address. He nearly had us convinced there was no hotel and that we may have been the victims of an internet scam! Nothing further from the truth, the hotel and it s proprietors were well above our expectations - thanks! (So make sure you take the address with you, we think this may be because the hotel seems very new!!!) |

Portico 21 Hotel, near Night Bazaar New boutique hotel just outside the east gate of the old city, so within a few minutes of the walking street market on sundays and about 10 minutes from the night market. Very helpful and friendly staff, decor is minimally stylish and bedrooms a good size. A new hotel is being built next door which may cause noise problems during the day, but did not affect us as we were out before 8am and in after 4pm each day. As this place is new it is advisable for you to get hotel staff to explain to any tour guides exactly where the hotel is so they know where to collect you from - the hotel staff suggested this when we arrived and were more than happy to help. |
First time using Sawadee - very impressed with the efficiency, right down to the welcome text sent to my mobile! |
